Obie Frances Bell, 83, of Muncie, died early Thursday morning, February 19th, 2015 at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 3rd, 1931 in Monticello, KY and was the son of late Granville & Leaty (Garner) Bell.
Obie attended church at Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed and loved to garden and fix things. He worked several jobs in the Muncie area. Obie loved to piddle and repair things.
Obie is survived by his children, Mack Z. Bell of New Castle, Alvin R. Bell of Muncie, Mark E. Bell (Janet) of Cowan, Scott A. Bell (Nikole) of Albany, Luella Chesher (John) of New Castle, Lorraine Bell of New Castle, and Mary Jane DeWitt of New Castle; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; a sister Betty Chriswell of Monticello, KY. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife E. Louise Bell; daughter Deloise Bell; daughter-in-law Theresa Y. Bell; son-in-law Roger Curnutt; grandson Chuck Bell; great-granddaughter Selena K. Bell.
Funeral Services for Obie will be held Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
