Olive L. Holmberg passed away Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 at Westminister Village. She was born on March 8th, 1926 at the home of her parents Floyd & Marie (Wellington) Beouy in Delaware County.
Olive graduated from Yorktown High School. She married James E. Holmberg on December 26th, 1948. Olive spent most of her life in the Muncie area. She was a member of Mt. Olive Community Church, where she was active in many activities. Olive enjoyed sewing.
Olive is survived by her three son''s, Michael Holmberg (Linda) of Gaston, Gregory Holmberg (Dorothy) of Muncie, and Stephen Holmberg of Muncie; four grandchildren, Jeff Holmberg (Diana), Andy Holmberg (Jen), Lora Maxwell (Steve), and Amy Acton (Brad); eight great-grandchildren, Kierston, Hannah, Grace, Landon, Evan, Luke, Madelyn, and Kaitlyn; a sister Charlene Sloan (Earl) of Alexandria. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James E. Holmberg, and a sister Catherine Beouy.
Funeral services for Olive will be held Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Rod Eiler & Mike Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
