Olson Harold "Harry" McNeill, 81, of Albany, IN died July 7, 2007 at Parker Heath and Rehab Center in Parker City, IN. He was born on November 20, 1925 in Ireland the son of William and Myra Janetta (Morgan) McNeill. On February 4, 1925 in Muncie, IN he married Janet L. McNeill who preceded him in death on January 8, 1994.
He worked as a bartender when he came to the United States. He retired from the Anchor Hocking Glass Factory after several years of service.
He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Muncie. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the 55 & Alive Group, and Parkinson Support Group. He enjoyed being active in the church and volunteering his time to raise money for the needy. He also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Surviving relatives include his three daughters, Myra Fraley (husband: Dave) of Albany, IN; Nancy McNeill of Parker City, IN; and Kelly McNeill of Wabash, IN; three brothers, Edmond McNeill of England; Cecil and Roland McNeill of Ireland; one sister, Ida McNeill of England; two grandchildren, Marcie Hays of Muncie, IN and Sean Hays of Bloomington, IN; one great-grandchild Paige Hays.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday July 11, 2007 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 820 E. Charles Muncie, IN. Father Dennis Goth will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
