Ora Lee Anderson, 65, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Moody Texas on February 14, 1943, a daughter of George Hammond and Rosie Lee Cox.
Ora Lee graduated from Moody High in Moody, TX. She was retired from Ball Corp Food Court Service as the number ONE top cook. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she was also in the choir at Trinity Church. Ora is survived by her two daughters, Saundra Church (husband, Paul), and Tammy Anderson (husband, Johnny) both of Muncie; sisters, Georgia Moore (Garland, Melissa) from Connerville, IN, and Gladys Jackson (Allen, Jamise) of Muncie; grandchildren, Datreon Book (Muncie) Dave Bennett, Jr. (Muncie) JaVon Holder (Muncie) Oreather Flecther (Muncie) Leah Flecther (Muncie) Robert Flecther (Muncie) Christie Davis (Muncie) Laci Powell (Sioux City, IA) ; she has 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; bestfriend ever, Mrs. Judy Snowburger.
Preceded in death by her son, David Hammond; her father, George Hammond; her mother, Rosie Cox; a brother, Jordan Hammond; her grandmother, Willie Evrin; and great-granddaughter, Nya Gilmore. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1210 S Hackley St., Muncie. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the services at Trinity Church
