Osbie Allen Huffer 95, of Muncie, IN. passed away Wednesday June 18, 2008 at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1912, in MO. The son of Rush Huffer and Ara (Murphy) Huffer. On June 30, 1962 in Muncie, IN. he married Edith (Newbauer) Huffer who survives.
Osbie retired in 1975 from Warner Gear. He was a member of the Fairlawn Church of Christ, a member of Warner Gear sympathy Club and a member of the UAW.
Surviving relatives include a wife of 45 years Edith Huffer of Muncie, IN. Son William Peebles (wife Terri) of Muncie, IN. Daughter Elizabeth Mendenhall (husband Ray) of Greenville, Ohio. Six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and eleven nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death; both parents, Three brothers Leland, Hershel, Harold Huffer, four sisters Cornlia Huffer, Lorene Lewis, Hazel Coleman and Bessie Huffman.
Services will be Friday June 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie IN. 47303 with a one hour visitation before funeral. Minister Mike Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Muncie. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday June 19, 2008 at the funeral home.
