Osie E. Crabtree of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 84 the afternoon of Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on February 20, 1937 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Isaac and Dollie (Abbott) Hatfield.

Osie married Hooper Crabtree on August 17, 1957 in Overton County, Tennessee. She and Hooper journeyed through life together until Hooper's recent passing in May. Osie spent many years working at Wertz Novelty in Muncie and making a home for her family. She attended Pilgrim Nazarene Church in Muncie. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Osie is survived by two sons, Gary Crabtree (Donna) of Muncie, Indiana and David Crabtree (Pam) of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kevin Crabtree (Hemanth) of San Francisco, California and Brittany Alberson (Michael) of Portland, Indiana; and one great grandson, Tristan Alberson.

Osie was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Dollie (Abbott) Hatfield; all of her brothers and sisters, Sylvia Slaing, Beecher Hatfield (Sally), James Hatfield (Mae), Edd Hatfield (Ruth), Erna Buck, Ina Crabtree, Marie Hudson, Lucille Creselious; and one granddaughter, Kendra Crabtree.

The family would like to send special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, Parker Health and Rehab, and IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital for all of the care given to Osie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Scott Turner. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Osie's honor be made to Muncie Pilgrim Nazarene Church, 811 E. 26th Street, Muncie, Indiana 47302.
