Patricia "Pat" L. (Powell) Altic, 85, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2023 at 12:45 A.M. She was born April 4, 1938 in Upland, Indiana, to Rex and Anna (Kiser) Powell. She was a proud graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Pat enjoyed cooking, especially desserts, for her family and friends and was also a talented seamstress. Pat made anything from wedding dresses to suits, her children's childrens' clothing to her clothing.
She traveled extensively and visited all 50 states and many foreign countries by plane, train, ship, bus and car. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Pat worked at Sutton Elementary for several years where she started the library where she was also a member of the PTA. She was instrumental in the development of Mansfield Park.
Patricia is survived by her sister Wanda Powell Green; her children James Woolums of Anderson, Indiana; Brian Woolums of Greencastle, Indiana; Victor Altic of Muncie, Indiana; Lori Harsin (husband Morris) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Kristin, Tyler and Megan Altic; Jason and Jackson Woolums; Douglas, Amanda and Chris Woolums; Holly Taylor, Lucas and Nathan Woolums; great grandchildren, Jamel and Aaliyah Barnes; Roman LeMoyne Wilkins; Dylan and Deagan Altic; Shea Woolums, Nathan Borchard and Olivia Woolums; and six great great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by husband of 51 years, LeMoyne Dale Altic; her son Doug Woolums; brothers, Charles, Don and Elmer Powell; sister Mart Moden.
A funeral service will be held on December 29th, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Green officiating at Garden View Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, adjacent to Garden View Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ball Memorial IU Hospice.
