Patricia Louise Bourne

June 5, 1938-April 22, 2025

Patricia Louise Bourne, 86 of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025. She was born June 5, 1938, in Muncie to the late John Kenneth Byrd and Mary Ellen (Tobias) Byrd.

Patricia was a homemaker whose first priority was her family. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was kind-hearted and thoughtful and always offering to help others. Even while she was very ill, she would greet visitors with a warm smile and ask "Is there something I can help you with". She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by husband Lee Alonzo Bourne whom she married September 16, 1956, in Forrest Park Nazarene Church in Muncie. She is also proceeded in death by sister Doris Hughes and son-in-law Rodney Harman.

Patricia is survived by sister Diane (Paul) Sizelove and brother Lowell Byrd; children Deborah Harman, Jeffery (Susan) Bourne, and Deena (Steve) Shroyer; grandchildren Erin (Dustin) Hicks, Olivia Shroyer and Natalie (fiancé Katelyn Couchman) Shroyer; great grandchildren Marley, Bella, and Elijah and great-great grandchild Jasiyah; several nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on May 1, 2025, from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM.at the funeral home. With interment to be Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.
