Patricia Sue Cooper of Selma, Indiana passed away at the age of 85 in Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born on October 5, 1935 to the late Elmer W. and Marguerite (Lykins) Herbert in Muncie, Indiana.

Patricia married Gerald Wallace Cooper in 1956. After graduating from college with her Master's Degree in education, she went on to teach children with hearing impairments for 28 years at the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis until retirement.

Patricia is survived by her son, Rex Cooper (Cathy) of Selma, Indiana; daughter, Beverly Ann Burk (Michael) of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandson, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer W. and Marguerite (Lykins) Herbert; husband, Gerald Wallace Cooper; son, Gerald Cooper; brothers, Elmer Herbert, Robert Herbert, Gerald Herbert, and Garland Herbert; and sisters, Inabelle Clark and Ermagene Warner.

Private family services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 pm, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Kenny Durham.
