Patricia Mary Ullom, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at The Woodlands in Muncie. She was born on September 24, 1928 in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Canada to the late Patrick and Elizabeth Foley. On November 27, 1968 she married her love, Wiley Ullom, Sr. in Muncie.
Pat moved to the Muncie area in 1947. She worked at The Holiday Inn as a waitress for 5+ years. Pat was very active in church affiliations both in Canada as well as Muncie. She was a member of Parkview Apostolic Church in Muncie and a member of Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls. Fellow church colleagues looked up to Pat as a motherly figure whom they respected very much.
Pat is survived by her daughter JoAnn Scott (husband, Ron); son Ron Jones (friend Valerie); and daughter-in-law Linda Jones; all of Muncie; 5 grandchildren: Chad Evans (wife, Brooke); Spencer Jones (wife, Gayle); Darin Jones; Brian Jones; and Malisha Miller (husband, Scott); and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; son Dan Jones in September 2004; husband Wiley Ullom, Sr. in February 2005; brothers: George Foley and Clem Foley; and sister Nina Ducett.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Brother Richard Martin will officiate the service with special music performed by his wife, Sister Margaret Martin. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
