Phyllis "Tillie" S. Sons ,79, of New Castle, passed away at 8:46 am, on January 19, 2026, at Henry County Community Hospital in New Castle.  She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on December 5, 1946, to Eugene and Vivian (Farmer) VanNatter.  She married Gene Sons and he preceded her in death.

She enjoyed embroidery and making cross-stitch pictures.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Meadows of Odon, IN; sister, Sandy White; grandchildren,  Evan Meadows and Jenna Meadows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Vivian (Farmer) VanNatter; Husband, Gene Sons; brothers, Tommie, Duane, and Jerry VanNatter.

Per the family's wishes there will be no visitation or service.

Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
