Printis E. Cope, 69, of Muncie, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2013 at his home.

Printis was born August 30, 1943 in Byrdstown, Tennessee to the late Stanley and Ollie Mae (Walker) Cope. Printis graduated from Pickett County High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He worked as a printer for Jefferson Smurfit Corp. for 35 years before his retirement. He was a member and past commander of the Selma American Legion. He was also a member of the Muncie Masonic Lodge, and the GCIU Local 17M Union. Printis enjoyed working in his yard, planting flowers, and spending time with his family and friends.

Printis is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara L. (Thompson) Cope; five children, Karrie Osborne (husband David) of Parker City, Kevin Cope (wife Kenna) of Muncie, Paula Bolt of Anderson, Rex Wallace of Canton, GA, and Bill Shroyer of Muncie; two sisters, Rita Graham of Albany, KY, and Leatha Easterly (husband Tab) of Niceville, FL; a brother, Dan Cope (wife Carol) of Byrdstown, TN; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Cope of Byrdstown, TN, Wilda Cope of Burkesville, KY, and Myra Cope of Byrdstown, TN; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Printis was preceded in death by four brothers, Noel Cope, Bill Cope, Grady Cope, and Randolph "Doc" Cope.

A funeral service to celebrate Printis'' life will be 1:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie with Pastor Ty Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military rites conducted by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Garden View Funeral Home.
