Priscilla Benadum, 63, of Gaston, IN died Wednesday April 18, 2007 at St. Vincent''s Hospice in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on August 14, 1943 the daughter of Ora and Hattie (Wheat) Strait. Her father Ora died in World War II when she was less than a year old. Her mother then married Ralph Marker in 1945 who became the only father she ever knew. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1962. In December 1964 at the Eaton United Methodist Church she married Philip Benadum who survives.
She loved bowling and was an excellent bowler who bowled a 700 series. She was a member of the USBA. She was the happiest when she was outdoors working with her flowers. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, animals, and traveling with her husband all over the United States on a motorcycle.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Phil Benadum of Gaston, IN; one sister, Nancy Vester of Gaston; a very special niece and nephew, Lisa Vester of Anderson, IN and Robert Vester of Gaston, two brothers-in-law: David Benadum (wife: Diane) of Muncie, IN; Gerald Benadum (wife: Nancy) of Texas; two sisters-in-law, Etta Barlow (husband: Lowell) of Cowan, IN and Mary Ann Lorance of Columbus, OH; three uncles, Leroy Scott of Muncie; Marshall Wheat of Muncie and Howard Strait of Anderson; and several additional nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parent Ralph and Hattie Marker
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Howard Fights will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday April 23, 2007 at the funeral home.
