Muncie, In.

Rachel E. Bush, of Muncie, In; passed away, Monday, February 28, 2022. She was born, on October 31, 1932, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, to the late, Brodie and Lillie (Grant) Singleton. On January 31, 1952, in Conway, South Carolina; she married the late Jesse B. Bush. She retired after 37 years from Marsh, where she worked in the meat department.

Rachel was a very loving, wife, mother and grand-mother, a stranger to no one, she made the best Christmas candy and was famous for her chocolate covered cherries 2 of them and you could get a DWI, everyone loved them. She also collected salt and pepper shakers and had over 4000 sets, some from every state and her brother Billy, had some made for her when he was in Vietnam, truly she had a story for every set. She also collected dolls, her husband would buy them for her, she was a truly amazing person and loved by all that knew her and called NANA by her friends and family, I know she loved being NANA, everybody's NANA.  Rachel also liked to sew, cook, make candy and baby quilts.

Rachel is survived by her son: Dwight S. (Marcia) Bush of Muncie; daughter: Lillie D. (Jack) Reynolds of Muncie; and brother who she treated like a son Billy (Patricia) Singleton of Muncie. Three grand-sons Matthew Bush, Jesse Fisher, Trenton Bush, and two great-grandchildren, Madison Bush, Braylon Bush.

Rachel was preceded in by her parents, her husband, sisters: Mildred Bailey, Christine Smith, Ann Bains, Faye Miller; brothers Alvin Singleton, Harold Singleton, Bobby Singleton, Kirby Singleton and Milford Singleton.

Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4-7 pm. at the funeral, services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 1pm. at Garden View Funeral Muncie, In. 10501 North Stat Road 3.
