Ralph Gerald Folsom, 89, of Muncie, died early Tuesday morning, January 29, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born September 10, 1929 in Quitman, Georgia. He was the son of Delmar Wilson and Willie Louise (Shaffer) Folsom.
Ralph attended Boyceton Separate Baptist Church where he was a deacon of the church. He also attended Union Chapel Ministries. He served in the Army and was employed at Muncie Chevrolet for 35 years, retiring in December 1987. Mr. Folsom married the late Hazel (Caudill) Folsom in March, 1955. Mr. Folsom will be missed by all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was famous for his very long talks of his life growing up in Brooks County, Georgia.
Mr. Folsom is survived by his daughter Elaine Tudor (Clark) of Muncie; three sons, Delmar Folsom (Mary) of Muncie, Keith Folsom (Teresa) and Kent Folsom all of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Mickelle McCoy (DeWayne Phillips) of Muncie, Rebekah McLaughlin (Jeremy) of Sterling, IL., Kristopher Folsom (Laura) of Yuma, AZ., Lindsey Folsom of Huntington, IN., Clark E. Tudor II (Cameron) of Muncie, Cara Bow (Zac) of Indianapolis, Sean Folsom (Ellie) of Clearwater, FL., Travis Folsom (Samantha) of Indianapolis, Chris Willis (Abby) of Muncie, and Brandi Michael (Roger) of Muncie; several great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: Red "Joe" Caudill of Montpelier and Ralph "Buck" Caudill (Jennifer) of Gaston, IN; six sisters-in-law: Ada Clark (Carol) of Gaston, Barbara Brooks (Charlie) of Gaston, Pearl Coley, Lois Noggle (Jim), Pat Caudill all of Muncie, and Peggy Folsom of Jennings, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife Hazel, Ralph was preceded in death by a son Gerald "Jerry" Folsom, four brothers, three sisters, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
