Ralph Privett, 86, of Muncie died early Sunday morning, January 10th, 2016 at Signature Healthcare. He was born December 15th, 1929 in Muncie and was the son of the late James & Mable (Cook) Privett.
Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing softball, working puzzles and watching western movies. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Ralph had been employed with Glassco, Westinghouse and as a truck driver.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Leora J. (Osborn) Privett of Muncie; two sons Ralph W. Privett (Kandise) of Muncie and Steve P. Privett (Lillian) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; a daughter Penny Lee Shannon of Muncie; five grandchildren Melissa (Will), Theresa, Natalie, Steven (Rhonda), and Shawn (Bridgett); seven great-grandchildren Clay, Nicki, Taylor, Preston, Paris, Kingston, and Conrad; two sisters Wilma Privett of Muncie and Janet Harrison of Alma, AK; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services for Ralph will be held privately with Rev. E.C. Bowden officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gardenviewfuneralhome.com
