Ralph Edward Wade, 87, of Muncie, IN died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Liberty Village Nursing Home, Muncie, IN. He was born on March 2, 1922 in Muncie, IN the son of Harry William and Jesse Helen (Franks) Wade. He graduated from Muncie Central High School.
Ralph was employed by Borg Warner Inc. in Muncie, IN, as a stockroom clerk for thirty years, retiring thereafter. Ralph also served in the army during WWII. He was a member of the local UAW #287, local VFW Lodge and The Eagles Lodge FOE. He also enjoyed playing cards as well as playing golf. Ralph also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Surviving relatives include sister-in-law, Rosalie Wade of Muncie, IN; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins. The family would also like to give thanks to special friend and neighbor, Freddie Taylor as well as many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Wade; sisters, Mabel Rosenbaum, Mildred Jordan, and Betty Brophy.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Reverend Kevin Holt will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
