Obituary

Randall "Randy" or "Cookie" Joseph Cook, Jr., 26, passed away at 3:16 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 16, 1982 in Muncie to Randall J. Cook Sr. and Janet G. (Abston) Cook.
He attended schools in Muncie and Blackford County. And he attended the Pentecostal Church.
He worked at Turf Service of Albany, where he was a logo specialist on football fields across America. Field work that he had worked on included Wisconsin Badgers, Michigan Wolverines, Boston Eagles and had worked on the Colts practice field and several hundred high school football fields. He had formerly worked at Burkes Auto Sales.
He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Morghan Elizabeth Cook, plus family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Janet G. Cook of Hartford City; daughter, Morghan E. Cook of Muncie; mother of his daughter, Kristy Hedge of Muncie; companion, Jennifer Wolff and her three children; very special cousins, Barbie Haffner, Jason Stacy, Josh Abston, Kodey Alva; special aunts and uncles, Sandra and Wayne Stacy, Jack Abston (companion, Sandy), Terri Cook, Bobby Abston, Ronnie Abston, Kathy Abston; special little friend, Kaylor Hedge; special friend, Stanley Hammond his spiritual mentor.
He is preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Sue and Wayne Cook and R.D. and Barbara Abston.
Funeral service for Randy will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Keplinger Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin Ivy Sr. of Repairing The Breach Ministries officiating.
Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie.
Visitation for Randy will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City.
