Ray Dewey Dalton, 86, of Eaton, died early Saturday morning, March 14th, 2015 at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation. He was born September 13th, 1928 in Morehead, KY, and was the son of the late Clinnie & Christine (Black) Dalton.
Ray was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ray enjoyed cooking, gardening, grilling out, farming, raising livestock, and doing catering with Pete''s Duck Inn. He retired from Marsh Supermarkets after 28 years as a meat cutter. Ray proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1956.
Ray is survived by his three children; Michael Dalton (Valerie) of Muncie, Debbie Alexander (Roger) and Pam Clevenger (Jerry) both of Albany; ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters Betty Ewing of Indianapolis, and Estelle Blankenbeker (Jerry) of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Phil, Paul, Joe, and Cooper Dalton, and a sister Edith Whitcomb.
Funeral Services for Ray will be held Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
