Ray C. Sallee, 80, of Muncie, died early Thursday morning, January 3rd, 2013 at Reid Hospital and Health Services in Richmond. He was born, April 27th, 1932 in Muncie, IN. and is the son of the late Clarence & Daisy (Clark) Sallee.
Ray retired in 1991 from Broderick in Muncie. He was a past member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anderson. Ray enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and was loved by all that knew him. He enjoyed working on cars and going dancing. He was an owner operator of a trucking business with his son Steve.
Ray is survived by his three children, daughter Connie Locker (Duane) of Richmond, two sons, Rick Salle (Stephanie) and Steve Sallee (Sheila) both of Muncie; a sister Libby Moistner of Muncie; three brothers Clyde Parton (Ruby) of FL., Kenneth Sallee of Muncie, and Paul Sallee (Barbara) of Muncie; five grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Sallee in 1987, a sister Alice Smith and two brothers Clarence Sallee Jr. and Oliver W. Sallee.
Funeral Service for Ray will be held Monday, January 7th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Black officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
