Raymond F. "Fast Freddie" Jones of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 83 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital late Friday, September 17, 2021. He was born in Winchester, Indiana on October 3, 1937 to the late Raymond and Rachel (Jessup) Jones.

Raymond married Barbara Ann Hartman on October 17, 1954. Raymond was known to everyone as "Fast Freddie." He was of Nazarene faith and worked many years at Anderson Speedway. He also drove for Brinks Armored Car Service for 25 years.

Raymond is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Barbara Ann (Hartman) Jones of Muncie, Indiana; two daughters, Deborah A. Mathis and Sandra D. Jones, both of Muncie; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rachel (Jessup) Jones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Larry Avery. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to any charitable organization of the donor's choice.
