Reba "Peggy" Bond, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at her residence in Farmland, IN, following an extended illness.
Peggy was born in Muncie on August 15, 1931 the daughter of Eliu W. and Josie Pearl Bricker and attended Muncie Central High School.
Mrs. Bond worked as a glass inspector at Anchor Hocking for over thirty-two years until her retirement. After her retirement she began to work for Village Pantry of Farmland, retiring again after nineteen years of service.
Peggy was involved in her bowling league at Winchester Bowl for over thirty years, and was a member of Glassco through Anchor Hocking for several years.
Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, Marvin A. Bond; three daughters, Charlotte Stanley, Muncie, Mary Rahe, (husband, Harold), Muncie and Sheila Gray, California; a son-in-law, William Stanley, Muncie; a brother Robert Bricker, (wife, Amelia), Muncie; three sisters, Ruby Welch, (husband, Truman), Mary Perdue, New Castle, Alice Merchant, Winchester; seven grandchildren, Shane Pittman, Angie Stubblefield, Becky, Tony, and Cory Rahe, Jenny Annen, and Pete Gray; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ralph, Arthur, James, and Jimmy Bricker; and two sisters, Ruth Craig and Becky Starkey.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Parson Mortuary or one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
