Reva Dean Piner , 88, of Muncie passed away on Thursday September 4, 2008. She was born on April 19, 1920 in Overton County, TN the daughter of Elzie and May (Beatty) Richards. In February of 1948 she married her husband Clifford Piner who precedes her in death.
She was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and bird watching. As a young women she worked hard to support war efforts.
Surviving relatives include; three children, sons Richard D. Piner of Austin, TX and William R. Piner ( Michelle) of Austin, TX; one, daughter Diana L. Ballinger (Robert) of Muncie, IN; four grandchildren; Madison Piner of Austin, TX, Nicholas Piner of Austin, TX, Travis Vance of Mt. Vernon, OH, Trent Vance of Indianapolis, IN; one great-grandson, Gabriel Vance of Muncie, IN along with 19 nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m on Tuesday September 9, 2008 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. State Rd. 3 in Muncie. Pastors Rusty Clements and Dale Brubaker will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Monday September 8, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the funeral home.
