Rhoda “Judy” Julayne McNary, 88, of Muncie, passed away on Thursday, October 29th, 2026, in her home. She was born in Albany, Indiana, on July 19th, 1938, to Purvis H. and Ruth I. (Martz) Bailey. She married Michael McNary, and he preceded her in death.

Judy graduated from Albany High School, class of 1956. She last worked for AT&T as a technician until her retirement in 1990.

Judy enjoyed traveling with her husband, Michael, with several trips to Mexico. She was very humorous and will be remembered for her good “one-liners”.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Cathy) Hobson; sister, Nancy (Bruce) Clark; three grandsons, James, Rob (Cat), and Nick; two great-granddaughters, Layla and Hallie Jo; three nieces, Erin (Tim), Debra, and Heather (John); and nephew, Joel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael; sons, David Hobson and Daniel Hobson; and sister, Colleen Odom.

A special thanks to the loving care of her home health aide, Judy.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4th, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Ellis officiating.

A burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
