Richard C. Brann, 93, Muncie, passed into heaven on September 9, 2018 while in Ball Memorial Hospital with his devoted wife, Mary Jean, and his devoted daughter, Camby, by his side.  Richard was born in Rushville, the son of William and Emoline (Newland) Brann.  Following graduation, Richard joined the U.S. Army. In December 1960 he started his own business, Brann's TV & Appliance.   In 1977, he married Mary Jean (Wyrick) Licht.

Richard was a very generous man as well as a devoted family man.  Richard loved to antique and maintain his lawn and homestead.  Richard was a life member of the Elks of Muncie for 72 years.

Richard was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather and will be missed by many.  Those include his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Jean Brann; children: Tom (Connie) Kellum, Camby Ferdon, Scott Brann, Kevin (Kimberly) Licht, and Kris Licht; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and 2 grandsons.

Richard's family would like to thank the staff of Albany Health & Rehab as well as the Oncology Department at Ball Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care extended to Richard while he was in their care.

At the request of Richard, his services will be held privately for his family.  Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors afforded. Arrangements are entrusted to Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH  45250-0301.  One could often hear Richard quote, "Keep the Faith."
