Richard L. Capper, 72, of Keystone, IN died 12:45 p.m. Saturday April 14, 2007 at his residence. He was born on May 16, 1934 in Hartford City, IN the son of Edward and Kathryn (Molott) Capper. On September 10, 1956 in Rapid City, SD he married Thelma Rich whom survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked at General Motors in Marion, IN for 31 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion, and the First Body of Christ Church in Rapid City, SD. Richard was an avid Indianapolis Pacers fan.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 50 years, Thelma Capper of Keystone, IN; two sons and one step-son, Richie Capper; Ronald Lee Capper; and Raymond R. Hoving all of Keystone, IN; three daughters, Kathleen E. Quillen (Glen) of Geneva, IN; Barbara Edith Winters of Hartford City, IN; and Lexie Ann Capper of Hartford City, IN; one brother, Jerry Capper of Fairview, Oregon; three sisters, Mary Lou Cameron of Hartford City, IN; Karen Binegar (husband: Richard) of Montpelier, IN and Linda Creamer of Fairview, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 20, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
