Richard Leon Trobridge, 73, of Matthews, died Tuesday morning, October 1st, 2013 at AMG Specialty Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born October 13th, 1939 and was the son of the late Doris Mae Trobridge.
Richard retired in 2003 from Portland Forge. He served for over 30 years as a Scout Master and was on the town board of Matthews for many years. Richard loved woodworking, making toys, crossword puzzles, and especially playing golf. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Alice (Sheets) Trobridge, whom he married October 31st , 1959; two sons, Richard Trobridge (Janene) of Wabash, IN and Clint Trobridge of Plainfield, IN; two grandchildren, Alex and Katelyn Trobridge of Plainfield, IN; two brothers, Donald and John Eddie; three sisters, Mary Mae, Phyllis, and Pat.
Services for Richard will be held privately, with burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United States Navy, and the Delaware County Honor Guard. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
