It is with great sadness that the family of Rickey Jay Alsip announces his passing after a long-lasting health battle on September 22nd, 2018, at the age of 55.

Rick was born on January 23, 1963 in Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from Monroe Central High School in Farmland, Indiana.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Brittany Tipton and son-in-law Ben Tipton of Indianapolis, granddaughter Stella, mother Mary Flesher of Ridgeville, brother Robert Crabtree (Patricia) of Romney, sisters Rita Wesley (Larry) of Selma, Sherry Devoss of Farmland, Debbie Moss (Steve) of Delray Beach, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Jay Alsip, and brother-in-law, Dave Devoss.

Rick was a member of the Noblesville Baptist Church community. He had a lifelong love for playing basketball and all things sports. It was no secret to anyone that family meant everything to Rick – he was a proud father, son, brother and uncle. He recently became a grandfather for the very first time.

Rick was an extremely proud business owner for over 20 years in the lighting, electrical and signage industry. He leaves a large work family at his company, Universal Lighting & Electric.
