Rillie Gregory-Bowden, age 84, passed away on November 8th, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  Rillie was born on November 21st, 1938 in Jamestown, Tennessee and was the daughter of Winford Cooper and Ethel Leazenby.

Rillie was the best mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and she had a heart of gold. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much.  She would make home cooked meals every day and made sure no one left the house hungry.  She also loved flowers, squirrels, sewing, and going to Hobby Lobby.  She was also a member of Westside United Baptist Church.

Rillie is survived by her husband, Ritchel Bowden; five daughters, Brenda Gonzales (husband Charles), Linda Wright (husband Harvey), Carolyn Johnson (husband Lannie), Kathie Gerber (husband Bill), and Tammy Winchester (husband Steve); one son, Regal Gregory; three sisters, Lela McDonald, Mildred Woodruff, and Treva Taylor; several nieces and nephews; as well as several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Rillie was preceded in death by her parents, Winford Cooper and Ethel Leazenby; her first husband, Regal Gregory; her brother, Ralph Cooper; and a great-grandson, Trenton Allred.

Services for Rillie will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and the funeral will take place at 1:00 PM with Pastor Larry Waters officiating.  Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
