Obituary

Robert M. "Bob" Bronnenberg, 96, of Muncie, died Wednesday morning, September 16th, 2015 at Westminister Village of Muncie. Bob was born October 23rd, 1918 in Daleville and was the son of the late Gus & Margaret Bronnenberg (Rinker)
Bob was a graduate of Daleville High School. After High School he went to work for Chevrolet. At the age of 21 he met the love of his life Lois Heaton and they made it official on July 7th, 1945. In 1941 Bob was called to serve his country in the United States Army during WW II. While in the Army he served during the European Theater and received the Purple Heart for being wounded while stationed in Italy. He loved and cherished his family greatly. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge #433 F&AM, Lifelong member of the VFW, AMVETS, Avondale Sympathy Club, and Moose Lodge #33.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Lois J. Bronnenberg of Muncie; two daughters Tresha Covey (Kenny Bubp) of Sebring, FL, and Beth Wilson (B.Kniffin) of Muncie; five grandchildren Christina Martzall, Kimberli Torres, Travis Martzall, Amy Townsend (Philip) and Amber Henderson; ten great-grandchildren MiKayla Townsend (Zachery Watters), MaKenzie Townsend, Jalen Henderson, Gabriella Henderson, Kiara Henderson, Taylen Martzall, Taryn Martzall, Remi Torres, Chase Howard, and Emily Howard; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral Services for Bob will be held Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Kirchoff officiating. Masonic Lodge of Sorrow Service will be held prior to the service on Sunday by Lodge #433 of the F&AM. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard following the service Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage with envelopes provided at the funeral home
