Robert Lee Love, 76, of Muncie, died early Wednesday morning, March 5th, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born May 2nd, 1937 in Muncie, and was the son of the late Charles D. & Vivian V. (Adkins) Love.
Robert was an avid classic car enthusiast, a master woodworker, and loved attending church. He was an active member of the Northside Assembly of God Church, where he was a member of the Men''s Breakfast Club. Robert retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He loved and adored his family very much. Robert and his wife Avagale enjoyed vacationing and going out to eat.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Avagale (DuBois) Love, whom he married July 14th, 1962 of Muncie; two daughters, Cindy Gale Short (Doug) and Lori Ann Hiatt (Vance C. III) both of Muncie; granddaughter Elizabeth Gale Driscoll (Stephen) of Yorktown, and a great-granddaughter Abigail Marie Driscoll of Yorktown; a brother Kenneth Allen Love (Judy) of Muncie; niece Rebecca Medecke (Steve) of Yorktown; nephew Eric Love (Jama) of Muncie.
Funeral Services for Robert will be held Sunday, March 9th , 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Carlton Bowden officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
