Robert Lynn Davis, 71, of Muncie, joined his mother in heaven on August 2, 2018.  Robert was born in Muncie, the son of Thomas and Helen (Blevins) Davis.  Robert is a 1964 Southside High School graduate.  Following graduation, he went to work for Chevrolet, turned New Venture Gear.  From there, Robert started his own construction business where he built custom homes in the Delaware area.  Robert was then transferred to Fort Wayne's Truck and Bus division.  As Robert always needed to keep busy, he joined the Delaware County Reserves.  His work then transferred him to Delco Battery and retired in 1999.  Robert then joined the Eaton Reserves. Robert then finalized his working career as working security and the front desk with Meridian Health.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, and pappy.  He was family-oriented and provided for every means for his wife and daughters.  Robert was a member of the Delaware Masonic Lodge #46 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

Robert was a loving husband, father, pappy, brother, son, and friend that will be missed by many.  Those include his loving wife of 53 years, Dinah (Gray) Davis; daughters: Robin Davis and Kelly Davis; brothers: Tom (Vicki) Davis and Roger Davis; granddaughter Zoe King; father: Thomas S. Davis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother and nephew Scott Davis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Garden View Funeral Home , 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.gardenviewfuneralhome.com .
