Robert Leon Garrett, 92, of Crawfordsville, died early Wednesday morning, April 25, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1925 in Oakville, IN and was the son of the late Walter S. & E. Bernice (Rinker) Garrett.

Robert retired from Delco Remy after 29 years of dedicated service. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WW II serving in the Pacific. Robert loved and cared for his family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Jean (Priebe) Garrett of Crawfordsville; his daughter Robyn Lamey (Ben) of Anderson; granddaughter Mindy Winkler-Jarosinski (Bob) of Fishers; grandson Ben Lamey Jr. of Indianapolis; great-grandson Garrett Winkler of Fishers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Burial with military honors being conducted by the United States Navy and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
