Robert (Bob) E Helm, 87, passed away Friday afternoon, November 17, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare. Bob was born in Muncie, IN on September 26, 1936 and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1954. He worked at Delco Battery on Elliott Street, upon its closing then went to work at Muncie Chevrolet and retired from General Motors after 32 years. Bob and Ilene attended Fountain Square Church for many years after snowboarding for a while, and moved to Wildwood, FL for several years. There they met and enjoyed many friends. Bob loved traveling, camping and fishing, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He is loved and will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ilene (Dorothy Burchett), daughter Priscilla Sorrell (Brad) Muncie, IN; son Greg Helm (Pamela) Pace, FL and grandchildren Marie Copeland, Muncie, IN; Jennifer Roberts (Matt) Pendleton, IN; Tyler Copeland (Katie) Pendleton, IN; Lauryn Kraushaar (Raleigh, NC); Matt Helm (Johana) Seattle, WA; thirteen great grandchildren, along with his nieces and nephews, he loved them all dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Priscilla Helm, brother Earl Raymond Helm, sisters Zelpha Hope Kirk (Stanley) and Nancy Petty (Larry).

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Fountain Square Church with Reverend Steve Graves officiating. The service will be private.
