EATON - Robert A. "Bob" Penrod, 72, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
The son of Steven and Marjorie (Carmichael) Penrod, he was born May 7, 1938 in Eaton. He attended Eaton schools and married Sandra Clevenger on September 25, 1959 in Eaton.
A Navy veteran, Bob worked for Chevrolet of Muncie for thirty years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the UAW #499. An avid fisherman, Bob also loved the Chicago Cubs, the Colts and the Pacers.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sandra Penrod; son, Greg Penrod (wife, Deborah); daughter, Janet White (husband, Brian) and son, Tony Penrod (wife, Michelle); his mother, Marjorie Penrod; as well as eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Penrod; and his brother, Edward Penrod.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Randy Davis presiding. Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard, will follow at Gardens of Memory.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in his name to charity of the donor's choice.
