Robert Eugene Skinner, 78, of Muncie, died early Saturday morning, February 1st, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 19th, 1935 in Muncie, and was the son of the late Samuel Clifford & Gladys Jane (Conaway) Skinner.
Robert enjoyed driving Sprint Race Cars, fishing, and hunting. He loved being outdoors. Robert was a mechanic for many years, and retired from the City of Muncie Street Department. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his three daughters; Karla M. Taylor (Danny), Stephanie L. Foy (David), and Kyndra K. Swift (Kenny) all of Muncie; four grandchildren, Bobby Russell (Amanda), Shane Smith Jr., Dana Salyer (Josh), and Renae Perdue (Toby) all of Muncie; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother Michael Skinner (Bonnie) of Muncie; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife of 41 years Saundra R. Skinner on November 21st , 1996; an infant son Samuel Joseph Skinner; two brothers Ronnie and Clifford Skinner; a sister Wanda Jones.
Funeral Services for Robert will be held Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Dugger officiating. Burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
