Robert "Bob" Williamson, Jr., 56, Muncie, went to be with The Lord on Friday May 8, 2009, at home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Muncie on February 11, 1953, he attended Delta High School and was a track supervisor for Norfolk-Southern for 28 years before retirement. Most important to Bob was his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and spending time in the woods once owned by his father. He had a love for the railroad and also enjoyed flea marketing.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Robyn (Dillmon) Williamson; 2 sons, Robert Chad Williamson and Daniel Nathan Williamson, Muncie; 2 daughters, Angel Oakley (husband: Mike) and Megan Williamson, Albany; a brother and sister, Keith Williamson (wife: Annie) and Nancy McCormick, Muncie; 4 grandchildren, Justin Oakley, Shelbi Oakley, Sydneigh Williamson, and Chayse Williamson; also surviving are nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Williamson, Sr. and Charlotte Burris; a brother, Joe Darrell Williamson, and a sister, Rhonda Lee Williamson.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
