Robert Earl Willis passed away at the age of 81 on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his residence in Muncie, IN. He was born on February 27, 1939 to the late Clifford and Lora May (McKeighen) Willis in Muncie, IN.
Robert married Joyce Alliene Crutcher and became a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked as a Machinist for Beckett Bronze Machine for 43 years. He was an avid fisherman.
Robert is survived by his children, Bobby O.L. Willis (Carol), Victoria S. Harty, and Jerry Willis (Patty); grandchildren, Thomas Harty (Ashley), Megan Willis, and Carlee Kendrick (Dujuan); great grandchildren, Zander, Xavier, Logan, Wade, and Newborn Cain Harty and Cameron, Ethan, and Dallas Kendrick; brother, Jerry Willis; sister-in-law, Susie Willis; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lora May (McKeighen) Willis; brother, Clifford Willis; sister, Wanda (Lester) Wright; sister-in-law, Rachel Willis; son, Wm Willis; grandson, Austin Willis; and great granddaughter, Ilyana Harty.
The family would like to send special appreciation to Premiere Hospice, Hoosier Homecare, Joe Fox, and Pat McKinney. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donors send memorial contributions to any charitable organization.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 6:00 pm, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Bruce from Old Town Hill. A private burial will take place on Monday, January 18, 2021 in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
Effective Monday, November 22, 2020, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 25 people wearing masks inside or outside. Once the maximum is reached, additional visitors will be permitted for entry only as others exit. Thank you for your cooperation.
