Roberta Louise Cross, 93, of Muncie, died Saturday afternoon, August 4th, 2012 at Willowbend Living Center with her family at her bedside. She was born June 20th, 1919 in Mooreland, IN and was the daughter of the late Orlando Eli & Malinda Blon (Cook) Locke. Roberta was a loving mother who enjoyed her family dearly. She retired in 1976 from Kimm Paint Co. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #33 in Muncie. Roberta is survived by her five children; daughters, Linda (Charles) Thompson of Gaston, Joan (Dale) Johnson of Shell Lake, WI., Betty Baker of Ft. Wayne, and Barbara (Robert) Osborn of Bluffton, IN; son Lewis E. Cross of Colorado; two sisters, Ada Lou King of Indianapolis, and Janet Howard of Alexandria, a brother Dan Lee Golliher of Albany; thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Lewis Cross in 2002; a brother Herschel Locke, a sister Ruth Stradling. Funeral Services for Roberta will be held Friday, August 10th, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Todd Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer''s Society with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
