Roby H. Parker, Jr., age 67, of Muncie, passed away Monday, August22, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1944 to Roby H. and Lena (Sewell) Parker, Sr. Roby retired from New Venture Gear after 33 years. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, listening to music, and watching the Tennessee Titans play.
Roby is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Susan Parker; children Michelle Parker, Roby H. Parker, III (wife Tiffani), Shon Miller, Sherri Wilkinson (husband Darrell); grandchildren, Shon and Rochelle Miller, Coulton and Corey Parker, Kenneth, Daniel and Christopher Wilkinson, Desiraye Allred and Tayanna DeGolyer; siblings, John Parker (wife Bea), Fred Parker (wife Elaine), Shirley Cantrell (husband Charles), as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Paul Allen "Sonny" Parker.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with burial to follow in Gardens of memory Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Little Red Door Cancer Services, 401 W. Jackson St. Muncie, IN 47305.
