Rodney Jess Manor "The Concrete Cowboy", 50, of Eaton, went to be with the Lord, Monday June 4th, 2012 at IU Health Methodist Hospital unexpectedly. He was born June 6th, 1961 in Portland, IN and is the son of Robert Jess & Joan (Shultz) Manor. Rodney was a self employed concrete mason. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Rose (Delph) Manor; his parents Robert Jess & Joan Manor of Muncie; two daughters Jennifer (Joe) Langdon of Muncie, and Joanna Manor of Indianapolis; a step-daughter Christy Kane of Jeffersonville, IN; three step-sons, Michael Kane of Indianapolis, Brandon (Amber) Kane of Indianapolis, and Matthew (Nicole) Elliott of Northfield, Vermont; three brothers Gary (Glenda) Manor of New Castle, Mike (Shawn) Manor of Greenville, SC, and Doug (Gale) Manor of Arlington, VA; one sister Andrea (Nick) Peterson of Muncie, IN; a grandson Parker "Little Man" Langdon of Muncie; a granddaughter Ella Langdon of Muncie; his beloved dog "Betty"; several step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and several very close friends also survive. Rodney was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a niece Lisa "Nettie" Peterson. Funeral Services for Rodney will be held Friday, June 8th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Collins Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial contribution be made to the College Fund of Ella and Parker Langdon, with envelopes provided at the funeral home or any First Merchants Bank.
