Roger Talley, 76, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on October 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness.
Born on March 30, 1948, in Huntsville, Alabama, Roger was the son of Alvie and Lois Talley, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Central High School in Muncie, Indiana, in 1967. Roger proudly served in the United States Army from May 2, 1968, to April 30, 1971, including a tour in Vietnam from September 23, 1968, to September 16, 1969.
On April 12, 1969, he married Margaret Keihn Talley, who survives him. Roger is also survived by his sons, Brad (Tanya) Talley of Bremen, Indiana, and Chris Talley of Kokomo, Indiana; his brother Don (Becky) Talley of Muncie, Indiana; grandchildren Christina (Dave) Walter and Sarah (Matt) Shaw, both of Bremen, Indiana, and Jonathan (Katie) Sims of Kokomo, Indiana; along with nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A man of many talents, Roger was a skilled building contractor who built numerous homes throughout his career. He had a passion for NASCAR, often taking his family to the Brickyard 400 races. In his younger years, he shared his love for BMX riding with his sons, creating cherished memories.
Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
