Rolanda L. Wilson, 80, passed away Monday July 31, 2017 at her daughters'' home in Blackford County. Rolanda was born January 5, 1937 to Evermont L. and Edna M. (Talkington) Barnes in Terre Haute IN.
Rolanda lived in Florida for 30 years. She taught herself how to upholster and made a small business out of it. She also started her own house cleaning business. Rolanda opened her home to the elderly, working with the State to develop her own small nursing home. She was unstoppable at anything she put her mind to. Rolanda enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles, dancing and playing cards. Foremost, she was great at being a mother to her girls.
Rolanda is survived by her three daughters; Cheree Cox (Leslie), Shawna Frazee (Larry Temple), Cassandra Lloyd ( Michael), Six grandchildren; Christopher Ryan Lee Thornbro ( Amanda Noble), Sarah Cross (Joshua), Christen Goens, Casey Love ( Chad), Carey Bocanegra (Eric), Michael Eric Lloyd (Sarah) and twelve great grandchildren; Ella Thornbro, Jakob, Samul, and Ruthie Cross, Ethan Corbly, Karsyn and Kamryn Love, Emalee Bocanegra, Marissa, Alexis, Joshua and Haylei Antrim.
Rolanda is preceded in death by her parents and her baby son Floyd A. Root III.
A private service will be held for Rolanda.
