Ronald "Ronnie" Charles Barrett, 79, of Selma died Monday morning, May 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 25, 1938 in Muncie, IN and was the son of the late Virgil H & Mary L. (Anderson) Barrett.

Ronnie was a life-long resident of Selma. He graduated from Selma High School in 1956. Ronnie was employed by General Motors until he retired in 1988. He later worked for the Muncie Area Career Center with the Building Trades classes. Ronnie most recently owned his own saw sharpening business. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Selma, Crown City Squares (square dance group), and President of the board for the Liberty Regional Sewer Board and had served as the Liberty Township Justice of the Peace and Liberty Township Trustee. Ronnie loved boating, fishing, was an avid woodworker and loved his family greatly.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Sandra Jean (Hoerst) Barrett of Selma; his three children Dayna L. Stump (Daniel) of Marion, Jeffrey R. Barrett (Paula) of Scottsville, KY and Bruce A. Barrett (Kathy) of Muncie; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren (one on the way arriving in June); five step- great-grandchildren; six siblings, twenty-eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
