Obituary

Ronald Paul Lindstrom, 74, of Muncie, IN, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Renaissance Specialty Hospital in Muncie after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 6, 1935 in Moline, IL to the late Curtis and LaVerna (Langdon) Lindstrom.
Ronald is a 1953 graduate of Muncie Central High School. On June 10, 1956 he married the love of his life, Mary Goldman in Muncie, IN. Ronald worked in retail throughout his professional career: 16 years at BF Goodrich; 23 years at Sears, retiring in 1993; and 7 years at Lowes, retiring in 2000. Ronald also attended First Baptist Church.
Ronald loved to work in his flower and vegetable gardens; play golf; play his guitar; camp and fish; travel extensively to Florida for winter vacations in his RV; and thoroughly loved and enjoyed his family.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Lindstrom; daughter Margo Annette Gooch (husband, Mike) of Clewiston, FL; son Bruce Randal Lindstrom (wife, Debi) of Cape Coral, FL; daughter Kathy Renea Harris (husband, James) of Springport, IN; and daughter Ronda Reaneen Goul (husband, David) of Yorktown, IN; sisters Marjorie Flannery of San Diego, CA; and Virginia Fernatt of Muncie; 6 grandchildren: Martin Paul Johnson of Muncie, IN; Jeffery Lamarr Branson of Chicago, IL; Katessa Mabins of Chicago, IL; Amber Lindstrom of Muncie; Jordan Goul of Yorktown; and Mason Goul of Yorktown; 3 step-grandchildren: Christopher Harris of Springport; Stephanie Cain of Cape Coral, FL; and Troy Cain of Cape Coral, FL; 3 step-great grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert Lindstrom; sister Charlette Mahi; and another brother Richard Lindstrom.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN. Pastor Glenn Greiner will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the funeral home.
