Obituary

Ronald G. McClellan, age 76, died on July 12, 2007. He was the son of Amber (Dobson) McClellan and George McClellan. He was a previous resident of the Dunkirk/Redkey area and for the past six years resided in Avon Park , FL.
He graduated from Dunkirk High School . He served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War as an Instrument Specialist. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent in 1954. During his service he was stationed in Fairbanks , AK , Tulahoma , TN , and Florida .
He was a retired honorary member of the I.U.E.C. Local #34. He was also member of the American Legion and a life long member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had over 32 years of elevator experience as a service mechanic and State Elevator Inspector.
He is survived by his sister Gail Louks (husband John) of Ft. Wayne, two sons Bryan McClellan (wife Trina) of Indianapolis and Ryan McClellan of Indianapolis, 3 grandsons, Craig McClellan of Missouri, Eric McClellan of Indianapolis, Justin Branscum of Texas, 3 granddaughters Rachelle and Morgan McClellan of Indianapolis, and Alisha Branscum of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill (McClellan) Branscum in 1998.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday July 20, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Coleman Barlow will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie . The Veterans of the Delaware County Honor Guard will provide military rites at the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
