Ronald Gene Rinker, 81, of Muncie, died Tuesday evening, October 20th, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 30th, 1934 in New Castle and was the son of the late Alva & Alice (Scott) Rinker.
Ronald was employed by Delco Battery for 38 years. He was a vendor at the flea markets and enjoyed them very much; he made several close friends there. Ronald was an Aviation Enthusiast and a very lifelong fan of the Muncie Central Bearcat''s. He was a kind hearted and generous individual who loved all animals especially his cats. Ronald was a member of the Northside Assembly of God Church.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Margree Ann Rinker (Collins) whom he married September 27th, 1952 of Muncie; two sons Mark Rinker of Seymour and Craig Rinker of Muncie; a daughter Brenda Clark (David) of Muncie; three grandsons Chris Rinker of Indianapolis, Ron Rinker (Heather) of Sherman Oaks, CA, and David Clark II of Muncie; two granddaughters Karri Roderick of Muncie and Kelli Hensley (Brian) of Muncie; three great-granddaughters Serena Hensley of Muncie, Brianna Hensley of Muncie, and Briannah Roderick of Muncie; a great-grandson William Rinker of Sherman Oaks, CA. two sister-in-law''s Elaine Seals (Herb) and Jeanette Ward (George); three brother-in-law''s Norman Collins (Trudy), Ed Collins (Dottie), and Ray Collins (Jeanene); several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Kissell (Rinker) and a brother Keith Rinker.
Funeral Services for Ronald will be held Friday, October 23rd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Carlton Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to ARF with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
