Rosalie Butterfield, 85, of Farmland, died Wednesday afternoon, February 18th, 2015 at Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 20th, 1929 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Gilbert & Mildred (Ruedie) Lawson.
Rosalie was a very loving mother and grandmother; she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. Rosalie was known by many as the "Candy Lady", always having candy for the children.
Rosalie is survived by her children, John Butterfield (Dominque) of Albany, Steven Butterfield of Farmland, Tamma Daugherty (Bill) of Eaton; grandchildren Tiffany Butterfield, Brittany Butterfield, Lea Daugherty "Leaster", and Leslie Daugherty; four great-grandchildren; a brother Sonny Lawson (Jackie) of Muncie; three sisters, Martha King of Muncie, Carolyn Hughes (Darrell) of Selma, and Jane Ellen Sears (Bill) of Warsaw; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Butterfield, a son Ricky Butterfield; three brothers, John, William, and Dave Lawson, and a sister Joann Wagner.
Funeral Services for Rosalie will be held Monday, February 23rd, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Dr. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 at the funeral home.
