Rose Hayes, 66, of Muncie , IN died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday September 1, 2007 at Albany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Albany , IN. She was born on March 31, 1941 in Muncie the daughter of Siles and Mary (Wallace) Burke. On April 14, 1958 in Muncie , she married Eugene S. Hayes who survives.
Rose was a homemaker most of her life and also worked as a CNA for Sylvester''s Nursing Home in Muncie . Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her husband traveling.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Eugene S. Hayes of Muncie ; one daughter, Donna Hayes of Muncie ; one brother, Charles Burke (wife: Larona) of Muncie ; two sisters, Donna Fruitt and Mary Wade (husband: William) both of Muncie ; two grandchildren, Joshua Hayes (companion: Atte Hamilton) and Charlie Smith both of Muncie ; one great grandchild, Titus Hayes. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and her parents.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday September 5th, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Minister Mitchell Haynes will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie . Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
