Rosemary June (Petro) Pennycuff, 84, of Muncie, IN passed away Thursday May 7, 2009 after a brief illness at her residence in Muncie. She was born on September 3, 1924 the oldest of six children born to Lester and Lola Diefenbaugh of Parker City, IN. She married Leonard Petro on March 18, 1942 who preceded her in death. She later married Edison Pennycuff who also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Parker City Nazarene Church.
Rosemary leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Edward Petro (wife: Libby), Michael Petro (wife: Linda) of Muncie and Pam Smith (husband: Bill) of Yorktown, three sisters; Mildred Youngberg, Nonda Buis, and Wanda Writtenhouse all of Muncie, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers; Richard and Ralph Diefenbaugh, a son; Larry Petro, and her two husbands.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday May 11, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Milton Wilson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Rosemary Pennycuff.
